Job DescriptionWarehouse Quality Control TechnicianPosition Summary

The Warehouse Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and presentation of Sound Investment AV's rental inventory. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, tracking, and maintaining audiovisual equipment to ensure every order leaves the warehouse complete, clean, and client-ready.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and staff, this role helps maintain high operational standards while supporting efficient warehouse workflows and exceptional customer service.

This is a seasonal, Part-Time, hourly position reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.


Essential ResponsibilitiesQuality Control
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing audiovisual equipment for cleanliness, cosmetic condition, damage, and functionality.

  • Verify that all equipment, accessories, cables, hardware, and documentation are complete prior to shipment.

  • Identify, document, and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment.

  • Coordinate with warehouse and repair personnel to resolve quality issues before equipment is released for client use.

  • Maintain consistent quality standards across all inventory.

Inventory Management
  • Utilize Flex Rental Solutions to accurately scan equipment into and out of inventory.

  • Verify inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.

  • Track missing or misplaced equipment and assist in locating assets.

  • Ensure equipment is returned to proper storage locations following inspection.

Warehouse Operations
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

  • Pack and unpack equipment using company standards to ensure safe transportation.

  • Meet daily production schedules and shipping deadlines.

  • Maintain warehouse organization and storage efficiency.

  • Restock warehouse consumables and operational supplies.

Safety & Housekeeping
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.

  • Properly use material handling equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment immediately.


QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Two or more years of warehouse, logistics, inventory, or quality control experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
