Job description

Pay Range $20 to $24 (DOE)

 

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector performs inspections, measurements, and testing to ensure that products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role supports production operations by verifying conformance, identifying defects, and maintaining compliance with company and customer requirements. The position requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and effective communication across production and management teams.

Requisites

• Reports directly to the Quality and EHS Manager.

• Regular, full-time position requiring a minimum in-office schedule of 40 hours per week; occasional travel may be required.

• Must demonstrate confidentiality, integrity, dependability, and cooperation.

• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.

• Requires continuous training.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Compliance with AVC’s rules and regulations.

• Standing, walking, lifting up to fifty pounds, climbing, stooping, reaching, and working indoors/outdoors.

• Use of industrial trucks, overhead cranes, hoists, hand tools, and power tools may be required.

 

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and measure materials or products using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Verify that raw materials, purchased parts, and finished products meet established specifications and standards.

• Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to perform accurate inspections.

• Collect and analyze production samples to evaluate quality and identify defects or deviations.

• Document inspection results, test data, and corrective actions accurately in quality control systems.

• Analyze test results and provide timely feedback to production and management teams.

• Perform calibration checks on measuring instruments and maintain equipment accuracy.

• Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

• Review quality documentation for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

• Recommend adjustments to production or assembly processes based on inspection findings.

• Proficiency in English language, including grammar, spelling, and composition, with strong communication skills in speaking, listening, reading comprehension, and writing.

• Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and department-related software.

• Calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs, and other precision inspection and measurement instruments.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Refer to the Employee Handbooks for PPE requirements
