Quality Control Inspector

  • Responsible for verifying quality and checking the harness the pieces coming from the temper furnace every 45 minutes.
  • Assist Dept. Supervisor in checking the dimensions of the parts.
  • Audit and make temperature adjustment of the furnaces.
  • Record keeping of all parts verified.
  • Create yellow tags of reject material when necessary and report to the Quality manager.
  • Must wear required PPEs such as steel toe shoes, gloves, earplugs and safety glasses.
  • Responsible for basic housekeeping.
  • Must perform other duties as required.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Able to read and understand schematics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the use of the Brinell and Rockwell Hardener tester preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of the use of the micrometer, caliper, tape measure.
  • Knowledge of use microscope hardness reading.
  • Must know how to read and interpret the prints.
  • Knowledge of how to adjust the temperature of the furnace preferred.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
