Job description

Overview
This position provides operational support for the mortgage credit decision process. Analyzes all loans sent for review to verify quality control and credit decisions, conveying discrepancies or exceptions as identified. Assists in monitoring data and files for accuracy and compliance. Ensures all mortgage loans are complete, move efficiently through the work queue, and are fully compliant with applicable legal regulations and Bank policies.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties & Responsibilities:
Analysis - Reviews and interprets data in loans sent for review. Analyzes data to verify quality control and to review credit prior to loan funding. Effectively communicates analysis output and any identified exceptions.
Compliance - Reviews data quality comparing system against approved loan data to ensure accuracy and compliance with Fair Lending reporting. Assists in reviewing Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data as needed.
Documentation - Manages the queue of pre-funding quality control files to ensure review and analysis are completed in a timely, efficient manner. May assist team with other documentation related to loans and loan data.
Business Support - Performs a number of administrative and operational support tasks during the course of pre-funding quality control efforts. Remains current on Bank procedures and applicable legal regulations to ensure compliance in all activities.
Position Specific Skills:
Knowledge of statutory policies regarding mortgage loans
Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Federal Housing Administration, and Veteran Affairs underwriting guidelines
Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 1 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 5 years' experience in Residential mortgage or Consumer loan underwriting
