Job description

Perform incoming inspection of procured materials and components Complete in-process audits/inspections for the Instrument Plant Support final product inspection to verify conformance with: Drawings/blueprints Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) Workmanship standards Plan and perform daily inspection work under direction of a Supervisor/Group Leader Use sound judgment and decision-making to help ensure quality standards are maintained Work effectively in a team environment while supporting site goals and objectives Follow all applicable safety, documentation, and quality procedures Perform all quality control tests Comply with the quality system Perform quality checks on pieces Coordinate findings with quality and production personnel to facilitate quality goals Adhere to quality control procedures Insure quality of customer service Manage the quality control documentation Ensure quality products and processes Identify quality problems and solutions Ensure compliance with customer quality standards Assist in conducting quality inspections on work Provide focused, hands on quality support and expertise for all plant related quality issues Maintain all quality control procedures and policies Aid in training of associates on quality requirements Maintain acceptable quality and effectiveness levels Eliminating unnecessary downtime and enhancing quality Bring unit within quality control specifications Complete quality documentation (deviation investigations) Ensure product meets quality control criteria Communicate quality related problems to operations and quality supervision, and other necessary parties High School Diploma/GED Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days 3+ years of quality experience (or equivalent training) Resume must show: Experience using inspection/measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and scales Basic blueprint/drawing knowledge Basic familiarity working in a Windows environment Quality Control Technician Preferred Qualifications Experience performing inspections in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device preferred) Experience with in-process and final inspection documentation (ECOs, workmanship standards, etc.) Strong attention to detail and comfort working to written procedures
