Quality Control Manager – Mechanical

We are working with a Mechanical Contractor in the Baltimore, MD - Washington DC Metro area, that is recruiting an experienced Quality Control individual.  Do you know Mechanical construction (Piping, Plumbing, HVAC) systems?  Can you identify quality work?  Do you have a critical eye?  Are you comfortable with the Quality Control responsibilities with Mechanical projects? Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the owner and general contractor on quality control issues.
  • Work to improve the billing and inspection process.
  • Manage Quality Control program for specific Piping, Plumbing & HVAC projects.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure that the project specifications are met by the crew and subcontractors.
  • Prepare daily progress & status reports.
  • Work with Inspectors to do Quality Control walk through
  • Work with the Project Manager to reduce any open items on punch list
  • Travel to projects as needed.
  • Be on-site to implement the QC plans.

Job Requirements

  • Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and quality control success is a must
  • Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC experience
  • Prepare daily Quality Control reports
  • Must be an idea person with a passion to improve the process.
  • Ability to establish timelines.
  • Interface with the Owner, General Contractor, and Subcontractors on all projects assigned
  • Solid communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
  • Experience: 3 years’ experience with Mechanical (Piping, Plumbing & HVAC) projects over $1 Million in value
