  1. Position Objective

Has overall knowledge of Plastpro, Inc. products and accessories concerning specifications and methods of inspection.

Inspect all components of the doors while in process and finished stages.  Makes routing decisions on acceptance of these products using standard procedures and instruments.

  1. Quality Control Technician Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience as an Inspection or quality technician.
  • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
  • High-level of visual awareness.
  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data.
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  1. Quality Control Technician Responsibilities and Duties

A.  Tasks and Duties

  • Perform line audits.
  • Conduct 24 hour drop area inspections.
  • Prepares written reports when necessary or as directed.  Checks special orders and reads blue prints to determine if specifications have been complied with.
  • Checks the quality of finished products for shipment and returned goods for acceptance to stock.
  • Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
  • Inspecting Raw material or product according to quality and safety standards.
  • Ensuring all Raw materials and products comply with company standards.
  • Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
  • Reporting / recording quality anomalies to the supervisor.
  • Collating test data and drafting quality reports.
  • Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
  • Maintains good housekeeping at all times
  • Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.

B.  Physical / Visual Activities Required

  • Have adequate sight, hearing and use of limbs to safely operate all powered vehicles. I.E. Forklifts, sweepers, cars and pickups.
  • Sight capabilities to distinguish proper products identification as well as warning indicators.
  • Hearing capabilities to distinguish differences in warning alarm indicators and standard operation indicators.
  • Sight capabilities to use tools required for quality control verification.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling capabilities to handle job requirements for inspecting pipe.
  • Balancing to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching in all areas to inspect products and raw materials.
  • Ability to verbally communicate either face to face or via telephone with other fellow employees to accomplish all assigned job requirements.
  • Hear and understand all verbal communication whether it be face to face or via telephone.
  • See and understand all written communication.
  • Ability to confirm by sight quality level of raw materials and products produced to determine acceptance and or denial of each.
  • Climb and descend all ladders or steps whether fixed or portable on company facilities in order to inspect doors and raw materials.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 30 feet.
  • Push and or pull up to 2500 pounds up to 30 feet with the aid of material handling equipment.
  • Walking through, under and around equipment with a clearance of 30".
  • Ability to grasp tools (manual as well as powered) and use them in accordance with a safe working manner so as not to injure yourself or fellow employees. I.E. power saws, drills, hammers, presses, latches etc.
  • Sight capability to safely operate at arm’s length machinery and power and 9r hand tools needed to accomplish the requirements of the job assignments for this position.
  1. AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKING:
  • State closeness of supervision, control by policy or procedure, direction of others.
  • Works within Plastpro, Inc. guidelines and policies of Plastpro, Inc.
  • Follows guidelines and directives supplied by Q.C. Supervisor.
