Job description

Job Summary

The QA/QC Supervisor ensures that all Craftory products meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees daily quality assurance and control activities, supervises QA staff, and partners with production to maintain consistent product integrity. The QA/QC Supervisor will be instrumental in supporting audits, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives to align with Craftory’s mission of delivering safe, high-quality, culturally rooted foods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all QA/QC operations including inspections, testing, and monitoring of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, GMP, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule QA technicians to ensure consistent execution of quality programs.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate third-party or regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, quality manuals, and documentation related to food safety and quality standards.
  • Investigate consumer complaints, non-conformance issues, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure product specifications are met and new products are validated.
  • Monitor sanitation practices and support Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP).
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records for traceability, reporting, and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, efficiency, and safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of quality assurance/control experience in a USDA/FDA-regulated food manufacturing facility.
  • Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSMA, SQF, and other food safety standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
