Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium, Playwright, Java, Python, API automation, and CI/CD integration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing automated testing solutions, working with AWS cloud technologies, performing API and database testing, and supporting SIT/UAT activities.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.
- Develop BDD-based automation solutions using Cucumber.
- Perform automation testing using Java and Python.
- Develop and execute API tests using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and optimize test execution.
- Perform SIT and UAT testing, including test execution analysis, defect identification, and reporting.
- Work with AWS cloud services including Athena, S3, CloudWatch, EMR, and AWS CLI.
- Perform database validation and testing across AWS Athena, Dremio, Oracle, and PostgreSQL/pgAdmin environments.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and testing.
- Translate business/user requirements and application features into comprehensive testing requirements.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, and execution approaches.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide clear reporting and recommendations.
- Take ownership of testing activities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with development, business, QA, and client-facing teams.
- 5+ years of software testing/QA experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Playwright.
- Strong programming experience with Java and/or Python.
- Experience developing automation frameworks using BDD/Cucumber.
- Strong experience with API testing, particularly using Postman and Swagger.
- At least 5 years of experience working with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Athena, S3, CloudWatch, EMR, and AWS CLI.
- Strong database testing experience with Athena, Dremio, Oracle, and PostgreSQL/pgAdmin.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SIT, UAT, test execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong test strategy, planning, coordination, and execution skills.
- Excellent communication and client-interfacing skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
