The QA Engineer will be responsible for testing and quality assurance for all products in the Copeland Controls Solutions - Cold Chain portfolio of controls, devices, and software applications with high standards. Further this role will serve as mentor for off-shore test teams.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, You Will:
  • Creating, executing, maintaining test plans, test cases for electronic controls, devices, products, peripherals, embedded, and software of various projects.
  • Assist with integration lab, test environments including installing, wiring, maintaining devices, software application testing of controls products.
  • Submit defects using defect tracking software and verify resolutions.
  • Participate in daily status meetings for assigned projects to share the updates.
  • Provide support to the Technical Services department as needed to resolve customer issues.
  • Support customer field trials with installations for firmware, controls, device products, and software as assigned.
  • Mentoring, training, supporting cross-functional teams of embedded firmware and software testers located offshore.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Associate or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ year experience in a combination of controls, firmware, peripherals, embedded systems and software testing.
  • 1+ year experience as a senior or lead tester for controls, firmware, embedded, peripherals, or software teams or testers.
  • Knowledge of electronics is required along with understanding of electrical safety agency requirements.
  • Strong experience with test planning, forecasting test cycles and testing projects with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with Defect Tracking, Results Documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • ]Strong organizational skills, attention to details, problem-solving ability to respond to changing assignments and tasks with minimal supervisory oversight
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understand testing, development, methodologies including waterfall, agile development and have a basic understanding of CMMI.
  • Familiarity with Automation Testing tools.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and a programming language.
  • Experience with Controls systems, Refrigeration and/ or HVAC will be a strong plus.
  • Experience with Regression, Automation, Cross-browser and API Testing.
  • Familiarly with Playwright, Selenium, Browserstack, Postman, JIRA or equivalent.
