Job description

Get to know us: NOVO Health Services offers linen management solutions to the healthcare industry. NOVO Health keenly focuses on safety and infection control and provides its partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization by department to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO's wide range of service programs offer a variety of options to provide a seamless, single source distribution system. NOVO's regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state-of-the-art processing equipment and processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Separate, fold, and properly distribute clean linen.

Inspect clean linen to ensure all quality standards have been met.

Pouch and label sterile product utilizing the heat-sealing machine.

Work within established productivity and quality standards.

Make recommendations to facility management for methods of improvement.

Mentor and train fellow associates after mastery of tasks.

Ability to read and understand all Standard Operating Procedures.

Keep workstation neat and clean.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Education, GED and formal education / training preferred.
  • Good analytical skills to be able to determine number of carts required for orders.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry
  • Ability to work in a noisy fast paced environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items from machine for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds.
  • Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: (List the minimum requirements for the position.)

Degree in Industrial Management, Engineering Operations Management or related disciplines preferred.
