Job Description: Quality Inspector D

Responsible for performing inspections on materials, equipment, electromechanical assemblies, panel/module level assemblies. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, or systems for in process or final assemblies. is responsible for successfully validating products and documentation for compliance with all applicable requirements and preparing items for presentation to the customer for acceptance and delivery.

Essential Functions:

  • Inspection of products and their associated documents in accordance with L3Harris Workmanship Standards, engineering requirements, customer specifications, work instructions, inspection plans, and other requirements as needed
  • Ensure that products and services conform to established company standards
  • conduct first article inspections to ensure that new or modified products meet all specified requirements
  • Understand and apply the elements of corrective and preventive actions, including root cause analysis
  • Make Recommendations and help implement continuous improvement of the processes and products
  • Ability to provide training to new inspectors
  • Provide feedback on Inspection Control Plans for MN's worked in area
  • Able to work with minimal support to determine methods and procedures on new assignments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies
  • Experience with electronic workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
