Summary: As a Quality Associate at TR Toppers, Inc., you will contribute to our commitment to maintaining superior food quality and safety. In this role, you will perform product inspections, laboratory testing, and quality verification activities to ensure compliance with company standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety regulations. The ideal candidate is committed to quality, accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• GMP Compliance: Oversee and ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards throughout production, from raw materials to finished products.
• Quality Inspections: Conduct thorough quality inspections of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products, employing precise visual and sensory checks to verify compliance with established quality specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of quality inspections, deviations, and corrective actions and generate detailed reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to address and resolve quality-related issues, fostering a culture of excellence in food quality.
• Environmental Monitoring: Continuously monitor and document critical environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and cleanliness, to ensure alignment with GMP standards.
• Non-Conformance Handling: Effectively handle and document non-conformances, deviations, and quality-related incidents, working with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Training: Provide training to production staff on GMP principles and quality control procedures to ensure all employees are well-informed and compliant.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required; additional education in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous quality control or food safety experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, document, and communicate quality and food safety concerns.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and food safety regulations preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of recent Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in food manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand, walk, reach, use hands, and communicate verbally.
• Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform visual inspections requiring close, distance, color, and depth perception.
• Ability to perform standard laboratory procedures, including tasting and smelling products when required.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and laboratory environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
• Occasional exposure to chemicals, temperature extremes, outdoor conditions, vibration, and elevated work areas.
• Moderate to loud noise levels; hearing protection may be required in designated production areas.
