Join Our Team as a Quality Systems Associate at VPI Compounding Pharmacy!
VPI Compounding Pharmacy is at the forefront of pharmaceutical excellence and is seeking a detail-oriented, ambitious Quality Systems Associate to join our Quality team. You’ll work across departments to support quality systems, compliance, and documentation, gaining hands-on experience in a role critical to patient safety and product quality. Key Responsibilities 

Regulatory Compliance 

  • Support adherence to USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and FDA compounding regulations.
  • Help prepare for audits and inspections 

Quality System Support

  • Assist with maintaining SOPs, change controls, deviations, and CAPAs.
  • Help track and organize training documentation.

Training & Documentation

  • Support technician training and competency checks.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date quality records.

Data & Reporting

  • Collect and report basic quality metrics and trends.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives and cross-team projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred:

  • Experience in quality assurance or a related field in pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with compounding pharmacy standards and quality documentation.
  • 2+ years of experience in biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, or other scientific disciplines.
  • Experience supporting audits or working within regulated environments.


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to walk, stand, and move between departments for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Requires extended periods of computer work and document review.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including lab coats, gloves, and masks when in cleanroom or sterile areas.
