Description

Position Summary: Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. 

Role Description: Operation of Robotic equipment. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Responsibilities:

Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. 

Computer literacy; must work closely with computers and programs daily.

Diligent observation of machinery in order to identify abnormalities during operation.

Be able to make/suggest adjustments in order to positively affect quality.

Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems that arise.

Ensure that all quality controls are completed each day. 

Detailed cleaning of all applicable areas during product color changes.

Communicate with other Operators, Assistant Shift Leaders and Shift Leader. 

Ensure a clean and safe work area. 

Assist in production as necessary. 

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:

Education and Work Experience:

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills. 

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of basic moulding processes, procedures, and machinery preferred (ex. oven/kiln operation, conveying systems, presses). 

Experience in the safe storage and handling of chemicals.

Physical Demands:  

Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. 

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.

Ability to work overtime hours as needed with little or no notification.

Acetone

Resin

Styrene
