POSITION: Sorter Operator - New

STATUS: Full-Time; Monday - Friday

SHIFT: Afternoons (4:00pm - 12:15am)

START DATE: As soon as possible.

EFS-plastics Alberta Inc., is a successful, growing recycling company that recovers plastic from residential recycling programs.  Your detergent bottles, milk jugs, and plastic bags all end up at EFS, where they are transformed into plastic resin pellets that are used to make new products.  Our fully automated processes divert mixed plastics from ending up in landfills, not only reducing waste but also conserving resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 



POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sorter Operator will be responsible for monitoring product sorting quality, assisting with medical repairs and maintaining a work area to acceptable standards. The Sorter Operator will also be required to operate a forklift and telehandler in a safe manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate a fully automated sorting, grinding line.
  • Monitor product sorting quality.
  • Assist with some mechanical repairs.
  • Operate telehandler and forklifts in a safe manner.
  • Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete daily production reports.
  • Notify the shift lead or management with any equipment related issues.
  • Other duties as required.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Positive attitude and engaged in your work.
  • Open and adaptable to daily feedback on performance.
  • Able to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks.
  • Reliable, consistent attendance, punctual, and dependable.
  • Previous experience working in manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Mechanical, equipment and process knowledge.
  • Forklift, health & safety and first aid certificate.
