WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Provide quality assurance support and lead root cause problem solving activities that are aligned to improve internal and external quality levels, supporting overall customer satisfaction of our products.
  • Perform process validations, in-process inspections, and activities to assess and ensure the quality of manufacturing processes and products.
  • Provide support to design, manufacturing, and quality engineering functions for data collection, analysis, product review, and process capabilities.
  • Perform containment activities, preventing potential or additional quality defects, and facilitate problem-solving activities designed to decrease quality incidents.
  • Provide formal documented FAI reports suitable for customer or internal use as required.
  • Determine and use appropriate measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensional and functional requirements, and lead or assist in the calibration of inspection, test, and tools.
  • Connect and communicate with other departments as needed, including Supply, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, Logistics, etc.
  • Develop and maintain metrics for monitoring and improving performance.
  • Perform product review and analysis to discover cause and/or disposition of defects.
  • Provide internal ISO audit support.
  • Assist with training personnel to follow quality standards.
You have:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Validated experience in quality processes within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), charting, and process control methods preferred.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements, quotes, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using testing and precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, paint thickness gauges, hardness testers, CMMs, measuring tables, optical comparators, and functional testing equipment.
  • Ability to identify root causes of routine quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Experience working with, and ability to understand and apply Quality Management System and ISO standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • Strong ability to prioritize work and operate independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and build positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical and geometric concepts in quality inspections and measurements.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and software including MS Office Applications.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting parts and finished products as needed.
