Job description

Java Full Stack Engineer

We are seeking a Java Full Stack Engineer with experience in Java development, QA Automation, and Spring Batch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining cloud-native Java applications, building automated testing solutions, and supporting enterprise applications deployed on AWS.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Java Full Stack development, Spring Batch, QA Automation, REST APIs, AWS Cloud, and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: McLean, VA (100% Onsite)

Key Responsibilities Java Full Stack Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and modern full-stack technologies.
  • Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Build and enhance frontend components for responsive web applications.
  • Develop batch processing solutions using Spring Batch.
QA Automation
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to ensure application quality.
  • Support defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
AWS Cloud Development
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services including: EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, Fargate.
  • Build and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
  • Monitor application performance using CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray.
DevOps & CI/CD
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy.
  • Develop infrastructure automation using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Support application deployment, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
Security & Collaboration
  • Implement AWS security best practices using IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 4–6 years of experience in Java Full Stack development.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Java and advanced Java concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Batch.
  • Experience in QA Automation and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, Fargate.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
  • Knowledge of Git and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with serverless application development.
  • Knowledge of AWS Step Functions.
