We are Hiring for Tech Lead Audio/Video Porting Application in Auburn Hills, MI

Job Title: Tech Lead Audio/Video Porting Application

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (5 days a week, onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.

· 8+ years of embedded SW development.

· At least 3 years leading Automotive Audio/Video porting projects in automotive infotainment.

· Strong experience with audio/video frameworks (Android AOSP, GStreamer, FFmpeg, OpenMAX, ALSA, etc.).

· Proficiency in C/C++ and exposure to Java/Kotlin or Python. 

· Hands-on with debugging tools, performance profiling, and memory optimization for embedded platforms.

· Familiarity with automotive protocols and security mechanisms (MOST, CAN, LIN, Ethernet AVB, etc.).

· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

Good to Have:

· Exposure to HMI/UX integration, advanced DSP algorithms, or AI-enhanced
media playback.

· Certifications in automotive standards (AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE, etc.).

· Experience with OTA updates, automotive cybersecurity, or cloud-based A/V
streaming.

· Prior work with international cross-functional teams.

 

Job Responsibilities:

· Lead technical end-to-end porting of audio/video applications and middleware on automotive SoCs (e.g., Qualcomm, TI, NXP, Renesas).

· Analyze and optimize A/V stacks, codecs (AAC, MP3, H.264, H.265, etc.), and streaming protocols (DLNA, RTP, AirPlay, etc.) for performance and reliability.

· Architect multimedia frameworks supporting next-gen automotive infotainment, including Android Automotive, QNX, Linux, and AUTOSAR-based systems.

· Mentor, guide, and review work of a multi-disciplinary development team (embedded, platform, UI).

· Coordinate with OEMs/Tier-1s for requirement gathering, technical discussions, integration, and debugging.

· Drive interoperability: Ensure seamless integration of new A/V features with legacy and third-party modules (Bluetooth, CarPlay, Android Auto, digital radio, etc.).

· Create technical documentation, design specs, system flow diagrams, and knowledge base articles.

· Contribute to code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration to maintain high-quality deliverables.

· Stay updated on latest trends and advancements in audio/video technologies and automotive standards.
