Position Overview The HR Generalist serves as a strategic partner to leadership and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. This role is responsible for supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture and delivering a broad range of HR services, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and continuous improvement. The HR Generalist ensures operational excellence and compliance while fostering engagement and supporting organizational goals.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide support to employees on various HR-related topics such as performance management, compensation, and policy administrationWork closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentionConduct investigations into workplace issues, including complaints of misconduct or violations of company policyFoster positive employee relations through consistent communication, counseling, and policy interpretation.Initiate and facilitate the interactive process for Family Medical Leave Act - FMLA / Americans with Disabilities Act – ADA and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act - PWFA cases Perform clerical duties associated with various HRIS programs and other administrative activities such as creating attendance reports, approving correction action plans, documenting employee performance, etc. Perform daily floor walks to build relationships with manufacturing team membersConduct exit interviews to ensure team members exiting the company have the appropriate information relative to their separation and collect feedback regarding their time with the companyGather and provide separation information in response to unemployment claims and serve as company representative in hearingsAssist in employee onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives to drive team member engagement and reduce turnover Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; consult with Quaker General Counsel as neededSupport recruitment needs by facilitating the sourcing, scheduling, and coordinating interview process for identified positionsSupport continuous improvement efforts within the HR department by driving process improvements and improving efficiencyPlan and assist with employee recognition events and activitiesPromote and support diversity and inclusionPrompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.Interact and communicate with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.Availability on site to confer with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis.Communicate via email, prepare reports and work schedules.Review and analyze data and information concerning employee relations.Plan, prioritize and monitor employee relations activities.Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.Supervisory ResponsibilityNo direct management or supervisory responsibilities.SafetyObserve safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to eye and foot protection and report potentially unsafe conditions during visits to the production floor.
