Position/Role:

The Quality Specialist supports both Quality Management System (QMS) administration and Quality Operations. This hybrid role is responsible for document control, incoming inspection, nonconformance reporting (NCR), and Material Review Board (MRB) activities to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

This position is being established within a dynamic and rapidly growing organization where adaptability, ownership, and cross-functional engagement are essential to success. While the role currently encompasses responsibilities traditionally distributed across several quality disciplines, this breadth reflects the needs and opportunities inherent in a startup environment.

The successful candidate will thrive in a "many-hatted" capacity, contributing across Document Control, Incoming Inspection, NCR administration, and MRB activities while helping define and mature the systems that support long-term organizational growth. As the company evolves and scales, these functions are expected to become increasingly specialized, creating opportunities for both organizational development and individual career advancement. Key Responsibilities:

Document Control & QMS Support

• Administer controlled documents and quality records within the QMS.
• Create, revise, issue, archive, and maintain procedures, work instructions, forms, and related documentation.
• Maintain document revision history and ensure current documents are available at points of use.
• Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
• Track document changes, corrective actions, and quality records.
• Assist with QMS maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Incoming Inspection

• Perform inspection of incoming materials and components against drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements.
• Review Certificates of Conformance (CoC), material certifications, and supplier documentation.
• Record inspection results and maintain inspection records.
• Identify and escalate supplier quality concerns as required.
• Support supplier quality improvement efforts and incoming inspection planning.

NCR & MRB Administration

• Initiate, process, and maintain Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
• Support containment, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
• Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities and maintain disposition records.
• Ensure nonconforming material is properly identified, segregated, and controlled.
• Track NCR and MRB metrics through closure.

Continuous Improvement

• Support quality metrics, reporting, and management review activities.
• Participate in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Assist with quality-related projects and other duties as assigned.
