Title: QAD Consultant
Location: Memphis, TN
Duration: Permanent
Compensation: 85k-105K per Annum
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
We are looking for an IT professional to support our ERP environment within a manufacturing setting. This role sits in IT, helping translate operational needs into system solutions while also managing projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QAD (SE, EE, AUX) and exposure to Adaptive, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Function as the liaison between business teams (operations, finance, supply chain) and IT.
  • Gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Support and maintain QAD environments (SE, EE, AUX), including troubleshooting and enhancements.
  • Participate in or lead ERP-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.
  • Manage projects end-to-end: scope, timeline, coordination, testing, and delivery.
  • Work with business users to evaluate current processes and recommend improvements aligned with system capabilities.
  • Support reporting and data needs tied to ERP and operational systems.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and user training during system changes.

Required Experience & Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT, ERP support, or business systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Engineering or related field
  • Working knowledge of QAD SE, EE, and AUX environments
  • Exposure to QAD Adaptive (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users-comfortable speaking both "languages."
  • Experience managing or contributing to projects from initiation through go live.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations (production, inventory, supply chain, shop floor processes)
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work through ambiguity.

Nice to Have
  • Financial acumen (understanding of GL, costing, financial reporting, or ERP financial modules)
  • Experience with process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives
  • Familiarity with reporting tools or data analysis
  • What a Strong 3-5 Year Candidate Looks Like
  • Has supported an ERP system in a manufacturing environment and understands how the business actually runs day-to-day.
  • Has been involved in projects (upgrades, rollouts, or process improvements) and can take ownership of smaller efforts independently.
  • Can sit with operations or finance, understand their pain points, and translate that into actionable IT work.
  • Comfortable navigating QAD environments and learning new modules or tools as needed.
  • Brings a practical, hands-on approach-someone who can get in, figure things out, and move work forward without a lot of overhead.
