While the primary focus is on manual testing excellence, the successful candidate should also have the ability to leverage automation where it provides value and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute manual testing activities to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software products.
  • Analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Demonstrate strong quality engineering fundamentals by identifying positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case test scenarios for a given feature.
  • Prioritize test cases based on business impact, risk, and release timelines.
  • Identify, document, track, and validate defects while working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve testability.

  • Provide clear, concise, and actionable test status reports and quality assessments.
  • Contribute to test automation efforts as needed, identifying opportunities where automation can improve coverage and efficiency.
  • Mentor junior testers and promote testing best practices across the team.

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in test case design, test planning, and defect management.
  • Strong understanding of quality engineering principles and risk-based testing methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize testing activities and make sound quality recommendations under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience evaluating feature requirements and creating multiple test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
