Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our quality control processes. The ideal candidate will plan and direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality and reliability standards. Develop, coordinate and initiate programs, methods, and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation to ensure continuous production of parts consistent with established standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership strategic planning to develop, implement and maintain a QMS program.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to understand specified quality and reliability standards. Maintain and control all customer prints.
  • Manage Material Review Board for timely disposition of nonconforming products.
  • Lead 8D root cause problem solving teams for internal and customer complaints.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure quality assurance program is comprehensive and is consistent with the strategic plan of the company.
  • Prepare and submit PPAP’s, coordinate launch/onboarding of new products in alignment with customer specific requirements.
  • Understand, support, and maintain IS0 9001certification. Review and update QMS as needed. Conduct and document management reviews. Oversee internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance with customer regulatory requirements RoHS2, REACH, Conflict Minerals.
  • Manage the use of metrology equipment, provide a calibration function to verify accuracy of gages.
  • Examine parts to judge quality of finish and to detect visible flaws in castings, porosity, cold flow, mold deterioration.
  • Notify proper people when sampling indicates a progressive deterioration in product quality.
  • Prepare monthly performance results and present during company meeting.
  • Review all new documents, forms, and revisions, to verify compliance with internal quality and ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Oversee quality processes and procedures. Hold tag procedure, Gage, and control plan, first piece buyoff, Return Material Authorization (RMA) process.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBLITIES:
Directly supervises 2 to 4 employees in the Quality Assurance Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training. Planning, assigning, and directing work. Performance reviews, addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university: or two to five years related experience and/or training: or combination of education and experience as deemed acceptable by the hiring authority.
