The Software Quality Assurance and Support Manager will manage a team of quality assurance professionals who partner with 4 pods of developers and system architects to deliver and support new web and cloud based, multi-tier, user-facing financial applications with an accompanying ecosystem of supporting services. Candidates will be expected to drive quality initiatives, lead automated and manual testing, and expand our automated testing framework across web, API, and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong technical automation skills with leadership and process improvement experience. Additionally, candidates will be expected to develop strong and collaborative internal relationships for the purpose of aligning the company's products and services with customers' needs; assist in establishing the strategy and roadmap for the scalability and performance of the internal systems to keep pace with company growth; prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects based on specific criteria and business requirements; monitor industry trends and technologies and implements best practices to improve in-house capabilities; and collaborate with IT peers to ensure appropriate overall architecture of the our software products.
The position requires experience leading a team of quality assurance engineers, defining QA strategy, standards, and best practices; reviewing test plans, automation scripts, and defect reports; collaborating with developers and tracking QA metrics and report release readiness. Candidates should also be comfortable identifying and resolving data, application and performance errors/defects, and possess strong database skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability and desire to collaborate with other technical resources in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Experience in the following areas, while not required, will help to set candidates apart: DevOps, banking, asset management, or other financial services.
Job Summary:
The Software Quality Assurance and Support Manager will manage a team of quality assurance professionals and partner with a team of developers and system architects to deliver end-to-end business solutions and will be expected to insure the quality and operations of modern applications consisting of web user interfaces, APIs, and Database components. The ideal candidate combines strong technical automation skills with leadership and process improvement experience, and experience designing, maintaining, and operating scalable automation frameworks designing solutions, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability and desire to collaborate with other technical resources in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers
  • Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks
  • Define QA strategy, standards, and best practices
  • Review test plans, automation scripts, and defect reports
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams
  • Drive shift-left testing and continuous quality practices
  • Improve CI/CD quality gates and release confidence
  • Track QA metrics and report release readiness
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Location: Hybrid arrangement based in Naperville, IL or Denver, CO preferred (~3 days per week in office and ~2 days per week remote). May negotiate other working arrangements with exceptional candidates.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time. Lift up to 15 lbs.
