Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Inspector. Under general supervision, performs routine duties included, but not limited to: 

  • Use your prior experience leading the QA/QC and inspection major site infrastructure, horizontal sitework, vertical construction replacement and modernization projects.
  • Prepare daily reports, review RFIs and submittals, develop and review punch list, maintain testing and project logs, verify payment applications and schedules.
  • Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications. 
  • Utilize your advanced knowledge and understanding of site drawings, MOT plans, specifications, end-user policies and standards.
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
  • Independently perform walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design. 
  • Perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting. 
  • Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 2 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Construction Management Experience
    • Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
    • Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years total experience of which 5+ years in a construction management role including experience providing QA/QC management and on-site inspection on construction projects.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or GIS.
    • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work. 
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, document control software such as e-builder, procure, navigating electronic files for specifications and drawings, completing daily reports, and maintaining daily project records.
