Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control & Compliance
    • Monitor daily production for adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
    • Conduct in-process and final product inspections, including board grades, dimensions, printing, gluing, and structural integrity.
    • Maintain compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements (ISO, GMP, BRC, etc., if applicable).
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate QA documentation, including inspection records, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
    • Prepare quality reports and present findings to plant leadership.
  • Training & Continuous Improvement
    • Train production personnel on quality standards, SOPs, and proper use of measurement tools.
    • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and design teams to resolve quality issues.
    • Participate in or lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Customer Focus
    • Investigate and respond to customer complaints and returns.
    • Coordinate product testing and sampling as required by customers or R&D.
  • Audits & Compliance
    • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
    • Maintain calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; box plant or packaging industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of QA tools (e.g., control charts, SPC, root cause analysis).
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, BRC, GMP, or other relevant quality systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn QA software or ERP systems.
