The Software Programs Central QA team is seeking a Feature Integration Quality Engineer to create, run and report on tests of upcoming software features across all Apple products and platforms. We work in a fast-paced environment that relies heavily on strong communication and building partnerships between developers and interdepartmental QA teams.
We're looking for organized, critical problem solvers who would like to play a key role in driving the testing and coordination of QA efforts. As a member of our fast-paced group, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape and improve the software that allows our products to delight and inspire millions of Apple’s customers every day.
Description
In this role, you will test high profile, multi-functional software features on Apple platforms that are announced at WWDC and other Apple events. You will analyze ambiguous feature proposals for risks and break down complex systems into component parts for testing. You will create, carry out, and present results of test plans to executive stakeholders, and transition feature testing to long term support.
Preferred Qualifications
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
Experience developing in Python, Java, Swift or C/C++ or Objective-C, familiar with databases, SQL, and scripting languages
Solid understanding of diffusion and generative models in software, including training, fine-tuning, optimizing, deploying, and testing
Experience testing APIs
Easily adaptable in a dynamic, constantly evolving, and demanding environment
Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines
Able to deep dive into technical areas but also able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years experience leading projects including manual and automation planning, test writing, execution, and triage on multiple platforms and all application layers
Demonstrated ability to achieve results through people and across an organization, forming relationships, collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams.
Experience leading testers, with emphasis on planning and handling multi-functional testing
Skilled at debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving - applying analytical thinking skills to systematically assess project quality and prioritize issue resolution
Extensive experience with different testing methodologies including integration, stability, performance, reliability, and stress testing
Demonstrate ability to effectively leverage and test AI tools and features
Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge.
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120,900 and $249,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
