Company Description

At Renesas, we don’t just manufacture semiconductors—we engineer the intelligence at the heart of a sustainable, connected world. As a global leader in microcontrollers, analog, power, and SoC products, our mission is clear: To Make Our Lives Easier, Safer, and Greener. From pioneering the future of autonomous and electric vehicles to securing the IoT and automating global industries, we look at the big picture. We don't just deliver individual chips; we design comprehensive "Winning Combinations"—optimally blended engineering solutions that help our customers innovate faster, reduce time-to-market, and touch billions of lives every day.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, define, and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Take total ownership of the product development lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Partner with the Hi-Rel Division PMO lead to track critical project metrics/KPIs (schedule, risks, scope, budget, cost entitlement, and manufacturability). Participate in Annual Operation Planning to estimate, forecast, and manage project/portfolio spending to ensure alignment with forecasts.
  • Build trust and collaborate closely with functional leadership to identify and remove execution roadblocks, mitigate risks, and continuously improve team efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers across other business groups to harvest best practices and lessons learned, ensuring the Hi-Rel Product group remains in sync with global "One Renesas" methodologies, tools, and systems.
  • Partner with Demand Creation, Sales, and Marketing to align execution and sample priorities with market and customer needs. Guide the team in preparing RFI/RFQ responses for key business opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate project status updates to leadership, the core team, and across the organization. Escalate potential issues early to address them before they impact execution metrics or require crisis management.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Strong commitment to a "first-time-right" execution mentality.
  • Ability to implement project management strategies that challenge the status quo, driving higher efficiency to scale up to roadmap requirements.
  • Continuous focus on mitigating project risk by tracking progress, developing contingency plans, and acting on early signals with high urgency.
  • Ability to foster a strong discipline mindset within project teams, ensuring members understand roles, collaborate seamlessly, and focus on continuous improvement.

Experience

  • 5–7+ years of relevant experience working for a major analog semiconductor company.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on technical program/project management experience leading teams to develop broad market or custom mixed-signal analog products for commercial, industrial, or automotive applications.
  • 3–5+ years of relevant, hands-on experience as part of a New Product Introduction (NPI) functional team (e.g., product, test, validation, design, quality, or a related function).
  • In-depth understanding of the NPI and product development flow from initial concept to production release. Exposure to automotive processes (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262) is a strong plus.
  • PMP certification is not required but is considered a distinct plus.

Skills & Tools

  • Proficient with industry-standard project management and collaboration tools, including MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Microsoft OneNote, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering is required.
  • A Master’s degree (MS) or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
