A/C Engineering Foreman-Mount Sinai West

Supervises personnel involved in the maintenance and operation of the central A/C system, auxiliary equipment, emergency diesel generators, pneumatic controls elevators; responsible for supplying heat, power, ventilation, gas water and maintaining water treatment program

  • Possess an FDNY Fuel oil piping/storage certificate of fitness upon hire (P98)
  • Possess an FDNY Torch Use of Flammable Gases certificate of fitness upon hire (G-60)
  • Proficient in building management systems, and computer-based systems for controlling equipment
  • Ability to interpret plumbing, electrical and mechanical blueprints
  • Ability to respond to emergent conditions as required

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $60.55 - $60.55 Hourly.Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Teamsters Local 810 at MS West - Fabricators & Warehousemen (IBEW), BBF - Engineering Facilities Management - WST, Mount Sinai West

  • Supervises personnel involved in the maintenance and operation of the central A/C system, auxiliary equipment, emergency diesel generators, pneumatic controls elevators; responsible for supplying heat, power, ventilation, gas, water and maintaining water treatment program

  • Oversees the HVAC shop and the respective staff
  • Operates and inspects daily ( 4 ) centrifugal chillers and downstream air conditioning units and auxiliary equipment.
  • Provides and schedules corrective action when necessary
  • Supervises preventive maintenance program of the physical plant facilities and schedules inspections while maintaining all preventive maintenance records and logs
  • Schedules and inspects steam distribution stations, pumps and auxiliary equipment; Records findings; schedules and provides corrective action when necessary

  • Partners with the responsibility for the emergency diesel generators.
  • Proficiency working with pneumatic controls and interpreting their drawings for troubleshooting
  • Schedules and maintains a proper water treatment program for open and closed systems
  • Performs related duties as required.
