Job description

Q Labs is looking for a Microbiology Lab Operations Coordinator to receive and log incoming samples, draft and process reports, and maintain internal documents as well as facilitate client email correspondence.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Process reports; correspondence

2. Receive and process incoming test samples from clients according to departmental SOP’s

3. Demonstrate knowledge and experience in general clerical skills and computer equipment/programs (i.e., typing, filing, copy equipment, word processing equipment, telephone)

4. Maintain confidentiality as required by work assignments

5. Recognize and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure; recognize errors in correspondence and final reports

6. Communicate effectively by telephone and by email

7. Determine the priority of tasks assigned by the Supervisor(s) or designated individual(s)

8. Assist in Lab(s) as needed

9. Other duties as assigned

Experience/Education:

Any combination of education, training, and experience that has led to the acquisition of the knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated above. Typical ways of acquiring these knowledge, skills and abilities are:

· Minimum of High School Diploma; Associate or Bachelor degrees (in the sciences) preferred

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Previous client/customer service experience preferred
