Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging 200 patients per day, serving a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Manage high-acuity cases including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, DKA, respiratory emergencies, and adult psychiatric presentations
  • Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV access, medication administration including drips, and procedural sedation
  • Administer blood products and cardiac medications; TNK administration experience preferred
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic electronic health record system
  • Monitor patients via central and bedside telemetry at the nursing station; Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB
  • Recent Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency with Alaris pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
  • Traveler Telemetry Competency must be completed and passed prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with TNK (tenecteplase) administration
  • Background working with high geriatric populations including falls and STEMI cases
  • Familiarity with procedural sedation protocols in an ED setting
