Overview
Assists in various activities in the pharmacy not requiring the professional judgement of a pharmacist. Performs pharmacy related duties in compliance with department policies and procedures; and responsible for the oversight of select areas/functions in the department as designated. Demonstrates and maintains competency in all technician tasks and functions.
What you will do
  • Prepares IV Sterile preparations according to USP 797 guidelines. Performs pyxis fill functions accurately and timely. Performs Order Entry (where applicable).
  • Participates in pharmacy preparation for Federal, State, specialty pharmacy accreditations and HIPPA compliance requirements. Participates in inventory management, completes purchaser level 1 course and 340b compliance training.
  • Assists pharmacists in dispensing functions (prescriptions, matching labels, and filling floor requisitions). Demonstrates and maintains competency in all technician tasks/functions.
  • Provides customer service excellence by addressing the customers' needs regardless of assignment. Demonstrates respect, concern and empathy for the spiritual, cultural, emotional and information needs of patients, customers and co-workers. Follows up with customers to ensure needs are met.
  • Works within RHS's policies and procedures regarding work assignments and interpersonal relationships.
  • Monitors/supports departmental productivity to meet the needs of the department i.e. flexing hours, shift changes and time off.

Qualifications
Education
  • , Currently enrolled in Accredited Pharmacy Graduate Degree Program (Required) or
  • Program Graduate, Completion of 1 year of Pharmacy Graduate Degree Program (Preferred)

Experience
  • Hospital Pharmacy experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
