Job description

Airmar Technology Corporation | Location: Milford,NH

With minimal supervision, read, develop, and debug Python code. Must be able to interpret third party hardware specifications for motors and sensors and implement Python drivers to operate them. Must be familiar with PyQt5 or PyQt6 for GUI development. Must be able to create reusable libraries and be comfortable with source control, test creation and documentation of source code and work instructions. Must be comfortable working in a team environment with code reviews and coding standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Observes all safety and ergonomic regulations while executing job requirements.
  • Maintain and debug the existing Python tools as well as other proprietary test equipment.
  • Create and maintain documentation of all test fixtures and other equipment in accordance with best practices. Documentation may include pictures, schematics, part numbers and work details and are stored electronically.
  • Create tests for acoustic sensors. Add new test sequences and edit current sequences as necessary.
  • Assists other Engineering personnel on assigned projects.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Associates degree or greater in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or other related field.
  • 2 – 4 years programming in Python or other relevant experience required.
  • Soldering and fine assembly skills a plus.
  • In depth understanding and ability to follow and modify written work instructions and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Electronics/electrical knowledge a plus.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel.
