Job description

Senior Developer (Python / Java Spring Boot / SQL) | Numerix Oneview (Preferred)

Location / Work Model: On-site (McLean / DC Metro)
Type: Contract, 40 hrs/week
Start timing: ASAP (team is targeting onboarding before the new fiscal year)

About the Role

We re hiring a senior, hands-on Developer to support and enhance a Numerix-based platform used daily by the business (preferred experience: Numerix Oneview). This is a highly visible role where you ll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues impacting outputs/results, and drive improvements across Python and Java services and underlying data (SQL).

You ll partner closely with business stakeholders and work alongside an offshore delivery team so strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving are critical.

What You ll Do
  • Support and enhance solutions that interact with Numerix (data in, outputs out) investigate discrepancies and drive resolution.
  • Build and modify components using Python, and contribute to services built on Java / Spring Boot.
  • Use SQL to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand issues and translate them into technical fixes.
  • Coordinate with an offshore team and help guide work execution, quality, and prioritization.
  • Engage product/vendor support when needed bring clear technical context and help triage to resolution.
What We re Looking For
  • Strong hands-on development skills in:
    • Python
    • Java (Spring / Spring Boot)
    • SQL
  • Experience in production support / troubleshooting environments (you enjoy debugging and getting to root cause).
  • Excellent communication able to work directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Numerix Oneview experience (ideal).

If no Numerix: background in capital markets / financial services platforms or data-driven financial systems.
