📍 Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) | Greater Toronto Area

💼 Contract Opportunity

We are looking for a strong Backend Python Developer to join a high-performing trading technology team supporting Rates Trading initiatives within a leading global financial institution.

This role focuses heavily on data ingestion, data integrity, and building scalable backend solutions that support trading and decision-making workflows.

What You’ll Work On:

✔ Backend Python development in a fast-paced trading environment

✔ Data processing, integrations, and API connectivity

✔ SQL-based data analysis and querying

✔ Agile delivery with weekly production releases

✔ Collaborative engineering team of 5–6 developers

Required Skills:

  • 3–5 years of Python development experience
  • Strong core Python and OOP fundamentals
  • SQL experience (joins, selects, querying)
  • Experience building scalable backend applications
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:
