Job description

Full Stack Software Developer (React / Node.js) [Remote - Canada only]

We are looking for a highly capable Full Stack Software Developer to help build modern web applications, APIs, libraries, and developer tools. This role is best suited for someone who can quickly learn new technologies, switch between multiple projects, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain React-based web applications and Node.js backend services.
  • Design and build reusable JavaScript/TypeScript libraries
  • Write clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve existing systems.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on contribution to production code during the last 5 years.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals, including asynchronous programming, event loop, closures, promises, browser APIs, and performance optimization.
  • Strong experience with:
    • React, bundlers, Tailwind CSS, State Managers, Web Workers
    • Node.js, Express.js
    • REST APIs, WebSocket, WebRTC
    • Git-based development workflows
    • Atlassian toolchain
  • Experience building and maintaining reusable libraries, or shared codebases.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with developer tools, libraries, API integrations, or platform development.
  • Experience with cloud services, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience in startup or fast-paced environments.

AI-Assisted Development

Candidates should be comfortable using modern AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar LLM-based tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and research. Strong candidates understand both the capabilities and limitations of AI-assisted development.
