Our challenge

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack development with hands-on experience in Python, React, and cloud-native technologies. As a Full Stack Developer, candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust end-to-end solutions - with a deep focus on understanding the underlying systems work with. Candidate will play a key role in architecting scalable backend services, developing intuitive frontend experiences, and ensuring the reliable delivery of software across containerized, distributed environments.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $105k - CAD $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Celery.
  • Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations.
  • Develop responsive frontend interfaces with React and JavaScript.
  • Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Manage Helm charts for multi-environment deployments.
  • Support distributed, async task processing at scale.

Requirements:

  • Python (Django, REST APIs, ORM).
  • Celery (async task queues, beat scheduling, workers).
  • PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, migrations).
  • React and JavaScript (ES6+, component architecture, state management).
  • Docker (Dockerfile authoring, image builds, private registries).
  • Kubernetes (Deployments, Services, Ingress, RBAC).
  • Helm (chart authoring, templating, multi-env values files).

Preferred, but not required:

  • GitHub Actions (CI/CD pipeline authoring, workflows, secrets management).
  • Service mesh or Gateway API experience (Istio, cert-manager).
  • TypeScript or message queue experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
