Job description

Unlock your potential as an ETL Migration Engineer-a pivotal role in transforming data pipelines and driving innovation within cloud-native environments. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work at the forefront of data integration, collaborating with talented global teams to modernize legacy ETL processes and implement cutting-edge solutions.

Bring your expertise in ETL migration from tools like Informatica to open-source or cloud-native platforms such as Snaplogic, Airflow, DBT, or similar. Your proven hands-on experience with ETL architecture, data integration patterns, and cloud deployments (AWS and Azure) will be essential to succeed. Strong scripting skills in Python, automation proficiency, and DevOps knowledge (Terraform, Jenkins) will set you apart. Additional experience with Kubernetes, serverless architecture, and AI developer-assist tools will be highly advantageous.

Preferred candidates will have a relevant bachelor's degree and prior experience in ETL migration initiatives, especially transitioning workflows from Informatica. Certifications in ETL tools or cloud platforms are a plus, demonstrating your commitment to continuous growth and technical excellence.

This role demands excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to work independently or in hybrid environments, and readiness to support on-call incidents and release management. Travel may be minimal, with a focus on immediate, local, or flexible work arrangements.

Join us and be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data engineering. If you're passionate about creating innovative solutions and transforming legacy systems into scalable, cloud-ready architectures, we encourage you to apply now and take the next step in your career!

Required Skills

  • Proven experience leading ETL migration initiatives, particularly migrating Informatica workflows to modern ETL platforms such as SnapLogic, Airflow, dbt, or other cloud-native/open-source solutions.

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Informatica (Developer and/or Administrator), including ETL architecture, data integration patterns, and workflow design.

  • Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including infrastructure deployment using Terraform/OpenTofu and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

  • Proficiency in Python scripting, automation, and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and shell scripting.

  • Experience with Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve engineering productivity and migration efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, document, and migrate legacy ETL workflows, mappings, and transformations to modern cloud-native or open-source ETL platforms.

  • Develop automation solutions and reusable migration frameworks using Python and DevOps best practices to accelerate delivery and reduce manual effort.

  • Partner with architecture, data engineering, and business stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and execute ETL modernization initiatives.

  • Design, deploy, and support ETL solutions in AWS and Azure environments using Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Provide operational support, incident resolution, release management, and continuous improvement recommendations for data integration platforms and migration processes.
