Position Description:
CGI is seeking to hire a motivated and detail oriented Software Engineer with good experience in SQL, Python based data analysis, and cloud fundamentals. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in complex, multi-faceted environments and enjoy working with large datasets, modern cloud technologies, and evolving business domains. In this role, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to build reliable, scalable solutions while continuously learning and adopting new tools, frameworks, and GenAI assisted development practices.
This is a Full-Time, On-Site employment opportunity based in Merrimack, NH.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Design, develop, and maintain software solutions within a complex, enterprise scale environment.
. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
. Work with large datasets, performing data analysis and processing using Python or similar technologies.
. Support data engineering workflows, including ingestion, transformation, and quality validation.
. Develop cloud aware applications and workflows using AWS services.
. Participate in code reviews, design reviews, environment strategy discussions, and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
. Collaborate with business teams, product owners, and engineering peers to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions.
. Maintain strong documentation, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
. Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
. Manage multiple tasks and priorities in fast paced environments with strong attention to detail.
. Leverage GenAI and Dev Assist tools to accelerate development, improve productivity, and enhance code quality.
. Contribute to projects involving sales or incentive compensation systems, if applicable.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 3+ years of software development experience.
. Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
. Experience with Python for data analysis, processing, and automation.
. Working knowledge of AWS cloud computing and cloud native development practices.
. Comfortable working with large datasets and performing complex data analysis.
. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver high quality work in fast paced environments.
. Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
. Experience participating in code reviews, design reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
