Job description

Python Cloud Developer

Location: Durham, NC/Merrimack, NH/Boston, MA

Duration: Long Term Contract

OOP/OOD - Proficient in Python, Java or C# (Python preferred)

Experience building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services

Hands-on experience with REST APIs

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services (primarily Cloud Formation, serverless, compute, EKS and database services)
  • Full-stack development experience across distributed applications and services
  • Proficient in Python, Java or C# (Python preferred)
  • Ability to apply design patterns and object-orientation to solutions
  • Proficient in Unix shell and PowerShell scripting
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs or GraphQL
  • Experience performing the Software Development Lifecycle in an agile environment
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines (proficiency with Jenkins preferred)
  • Good working knowledge of JIRA/Confluence and Datadog is a plus
  • Experience with machine learning and AI models is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS is a plus

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)

7+ years of software engineering experience

Certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS SysOps Administrator
