Job Summary
The Senior Python Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical enterprise applications with a strong focus on backend development, API integrations, and system modernization. This role supports a core monolithic platform built with Python and Django while driving architectural improvements, mentoring engineers, and delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Python, Django, TypeScript, API development, and full-stack application engineering.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Python and Django.
• Enhance and support a core monolithic application responsible for processing and orchestration.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services for internal systems.
• Build and enhance full-stack applications with a strong emphasis on backend development and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain integrations supporting enterprise platform functionality.
• Perform system modernization, performance improvements, and platform stability enhancements.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
• Participate in production support and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, platform, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Django.
