Job description

Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Java / Python / Kafka Software Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize applications using Java and Python while leveraging Kafka for real-time data processing and event-driven architectures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop and maintain Java-based applications
โ€ข Design and optimize Python scripts for data processing
โ€ข Build and manage Kafka pipelines for real-time data streaming
โ€ข Ensure scalability and reliability of software solutions
โ€ข Collaborate with teams to deliver software products
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Proficiency in Java programming
โ€ข Expertise in Python scripting
โ€ข Strong understanding of Kafka architecture
โ€ข Knowledge of message queues and streaming platforms
โ€ข Familiarity with RESTful APIs
โ€ข Ability to write efficient, clean, and reusable code
โ€ข Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
โ€ข Full U.S. Citizenship
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with microservices architecture
โ€ข Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker)
โ€ข Understanding of cloud-based deployments
โ€ข Knowledge of distributed systems
โ€ข Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development
โ€ข Experience with data serialization formats (e.g., Avro, Protobuf)
