Job Summary:
ICONMA is an IT Services and Consulting company looking for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer / Python Developer (Azure Cloud). The role involves crafting sophisticated systems, working with cloud technologies, and building data pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Crafting and implementing sophisticated systems from scratch
• Working with cloud technology (preferably Azure), data models, API design, API development
• Building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
• Supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
• Working with unstructured datasets
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of proven experience as a senior software developer, including crafting and implementing sophisticated systems from scratch
• 5+ years of proven experience working with cloud technology (preferably Azure), data models, API design, API development
• 10+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with SQL database design
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• 7+ years of extensive development experience with technologies like: Python
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
• Agile development experience
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
• Source 10+ years senior Data Engineers with strong Snowflake, Python, SQL, Azure, API development, and data warehouse architecture experience.
• Avoid ETL-only developers, BI/reporting profiles, or candidates lacking deep Snowflake and SQL design expertise.
Preferred:
• Financial Services/Capital Markets domain is highly preferred.
