DHHS Information Technology Division (ITD) is seeking a skilled Application Systems Python Developer to design, develop, and support data pipelines, dashboards, integrations, and migration processes across enterprise systems within the Office of the NC Chief Medical Examiner. This role plays a key part in moving data between legacy and modern platforms, ensuring data quality, and enabling analytics and automation through Python and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data migration scripts, ETL pipelines, and automation workflows using Python
Design, build, and optimize data models for reporting and analytics
Create interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI
Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading between databases, APIs, and enterprise systems
Optimize data processes for speed, reliability, and scalability
Work with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support migration and reporting
Integrate data from multiple sources, including cloud apps, on premises systems, and flat files
Collaborate with business teams to define reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions
Analyze data quality issues, reconcile datasets, and implement best practices for data integrity
Implement automation for recurring data tasks and reporting workflows
Maintain documentation for data processes, source mappings, and migration steps
Participate in architecture, design, and planning sessions for data modernization projects
