Job description

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Chemical Process Operator to perform chemical and mechanical processing operations used in the production of aerospace turbine engine components. This role supports coating, cleaning, surface preparation, and thermal processing operations while ensuring products meet quality, safety, and customer requirements.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 4:00am-12:00pm

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform chemical processing and coating operations on aerospace turbine engine components.
  • Execute production processes including grit blasting, ultrasonic cleaning, thermal processing, and coating preparation activities.
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on furnaces, coating systems, blasting equipment, and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Prepare and mix production materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor process parameters and ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards.
  • Complete process logs, travelers, and production documentation to maintain traceability.
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with customer, engineering, and quality requirements.
  • Follow all environmental, chemical handling, and waste disposal procedures.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Manufacturing, chemical processing, coating, heat treatment, or related industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, specifications, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to safely work with chemicals, industrial equipment, and production machinery.
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support cross-training activities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing, coatings, chemical processing, or heat treatment operations.
  • Experience operating furnaces, blasting equipment, coating systems, or other industrial processing equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with regulated processes and quality documentation.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, noise, and industrial equipment.
  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, and handling of parts and materials throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely move materials throughout the work area.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
