Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Solar Roof Installer to join our team for commercial photovoltaic (PV) installation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working on commercial roofing systems and installing rooftop solar mounting systems, panels, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
This position involves working at heights, collaborating with electricians and project managers, and ensuring all installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building/electrical codes.
Responsibilities

  • Install commercial rooftop solar PV systems on flat and low-slope roofs
  • Assemble and install solar racking and mounting systems
  • Secure solar panels, wiring management, and associated hardware
  • Work with electrical crews during system wiring and commissioning
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and installation plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures
  • Inspect materials and equipment before installation
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and make field adjustments as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite
  • Travel to project locations as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial solar installation or commercial roofing experience
  • Experience working on TPO, EPDM, metal, or modified bitumen roofing systems preferred
  • Knowledge of commercial PV systems and rooftop mounting systems
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred


Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification, SST Card
  • NABCEP certification or solar training experience
  • Forklift, lift equipment, or fall protection certifications
