Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is a company focused on solving global challenges through data science. As a Data Scientist, you will unlock insights from complex data sets and help clients make informed decisions using your analytical skills and data science knowledge.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs
• Dig into data-rich environments to find pieces of information puzzle
• Develop algorithms and systems to turn disparate data points into objective answers
• Provide a deep understanding of the data and how it can be used
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
• Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
• Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
• Experience leading the development of solutions to complex programs
• Experience building and applying machine learning techniques
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
• Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL and NoSQL
• Experience with distributed data and computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
• Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
• Experience working with Air Force clients
• Experience effectively managing teams and trusted client relationships
• Experience developing visually compelling PowerPoint decks and other products to support client delivery
• Experience working with Advana or Vault
• TS/SCI clearance
