Position Description
Summary: The Pure Water Associate is a hybrid position that will participate in field operations where they will perform maintenance and repair services. This position will also support account management and sales operations for the Pure Water division. This role will help in territory planning, pipeline growth, proposal development, support pricing, and for self-performing service as required. This PW Associate will partner with PW Operations, Field Leadership, and Safety to ensure scopes are delivered with quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provide preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration activities and repairs to industrial water treatment equipment.
  • Maintain site paperwork and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed including service reports detailing operating data as well as documenting all installations, inspections, maintenance repair work, etc.
  • Help build target-account lists and territory plans; develop industry relationships to expand the Pure Water brand and secure new maintenance agreements and projects.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close opportunities across self-perform customers and regeneration-only clients. Actively work with Dept Sales leader to help document opportunities in CRM.
  • Lead estimating activities; develop proposals, pricing, and terms that meet gross-margin objectives.
  • Help negotiate customer contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor purchase orders; oversee change-order pricing and negotiations.
  • Act as a point of contact for key accounts; conduct regular client meetings, stay conversations, and renewal reviews; renegotiate contracts to meet margin guidelines.
  • Partner with Operations and Field Leadership to resource work, align scope, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery; review billings and track financial performance.
  • Support submittals and technical document requirements; supervise distribution of O&M manuals, submittals, and as-built documentation where applicable.
  • Coordinate with Safety to implement applicable programs; ensure field training is current (e.g., water testing and regional compliance).
  • Other duties as required

Position Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Knowledge technical pure water filtration systems, RODI systems and water processes. Helpful to have of plumbing/pipefitting industry requirements; familiarity with water testing/compliance.
• Proactive, consultative sales approach; strong listening and relationship-building skills.
• Estimating and proposal development; contract and change-order negotiation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to multitask under heavy workloads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with union and non-union personnel at all levels.
Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years' experience with water systems, purity piping installation and maintenance procedures on industrial and commercial Water purification systems.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel; Project as needed); Bluebeam preferred.
Certificates and Licenses
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
