Basic Job Functions: Verco Decking Inc., a division of Nucor Corporation, is currently seeking applicants for a Purchasing Coordinator, located in our Phoenix, location. Nucor is a Fortune 500 company named by Fortune as a best workplace in Manufacturing and Production. The purchasing coordinator position offers growth opportunities. Responsibilities encompassing but not limited to, communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and teammates. Ability to execute purchase orders for suppliers, perform steel checks daily and verify inventory coverage. Must be detail oriented with a strong ability to multitask. Executing weekly corporate reporting, work closely with plants during Inventory cycle, verify counts, preparing inventory package for our leadership team. Assist with approval process on steel invoices, report any issues with inventory as needed, following up until issues are resolved. Support the team and other departments as needed with willingness to perform other duties as assigned. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Proficient with Mocrosoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications Purchasing, or similar, experience in a manuafacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: โ€ขExperience with SAP โ€ข Manufacturing environment experience โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
